How It works?

Apply the wax

Choose the appropriate type of wax for the area you're waxing. There are different waxes available for different body parts and skin types, such as hard wax for sensitive areas and soft wax for larger areas. Heat the wax according to the instructions on the package. Be careful not to overheat it, as it can cause burns. The wax should have a thick, honey-like consistency. Using a spatula or applicator, apply a thin, even layer of wax in the direction of hair growth. Apply it in small sections to ensure proper coverage. Place a waxing strip or fabric strip over the wax and press it down firmly. Smooth it in the direction of hair growth to help the strip adhere to the wax.

Remove the wax

Hold the skin taut with one hand and use the other hand to grip the end of the waxing strip. Pull the strip off quickly in the opposite direction of hair growth. Make sure to pull parallel to the skin, keeping it as close to the skin as possible. Take a deep breath and remove the strip with one swift motion. The quicker you pull, the less discomfort you'll feel. Repeat the process, applying wax to the next section and removing the hair until you've achieved the desired results. Afterward, soothe the waxed area by applying a post-waxing oil or lotion to calm the skin and reduce redness.

Post-wax care

After waxing, it's common for the skin to be slightly sensitive and red. Apply a soothing gel or lotion specifically designed for post-waxing to help calm the skin and reduce inflammation. Avoid exposing the waxed area to direct sunlight immediately after waxing, as it may be more susceptible to sunburn. If you need to go outside, consider wearing loose clothing that covers the treated area or applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF. Refrain from using any harsh or abrasive products on the waxed area for at least 24 hours. This includes scrubs, exfoliants, or products containing alcohol. These can further irritate the skin.
